The offering could raise as much as $300 million through a mix of new shares and a sale by existing investors, they said.Discussions are at an early stage and details including the size, structure and timing of the offering could still change, the people said.
A representative for Victura Technologies didn’t respond to requests for comment.
Victura would join a growing pipeline of auto-parts makers seeking to tap India’s equity markets.
German auto-parts maker Mahle GmbH is also considering an IPO of its Indian business, while Webasto is pursuing plans for a local listing.
Indian auto parts manufacturers trade at a premium to domestic carmakers, reflecting their stronger growth prospects, though their returns on equity and margins are lower, according to a recent Goldman Sachs report.
They also command a premium to global peers because of faster growth, higher asset turnover and lower research and development intensity, while generating similar margins, the report said.
Founded in 1972, Victura manufactures automotive components and also provides end to end metal engineering solutions to its clients from the automotive, railways, defense, consumer electronics and E-mobility domain, according to its website.
The company operates 20 manufacturing facilities, its website shows.
