With the victory in Japan’s Aichi-Nagoya, India has successfully defended the title they won at the previous edition.

Earlier, the Indian Women’s 10 M Air Rifle team, comprising Elavenil Valarivan, Sonam Maskar, and Vidarsa Vinod, bagged a silver medal.

Elavenil Valarivan also won another in Women’s 10 M Air Rifle Individual.

The two bronze medals were won by Rudranksh Patil for Men’s 10 M Air Rifle Individual, and Suchika Tariyal in Women’s Traditional MMA 60 kg.

India is currently placed at the 8th spot on the medals’ table with 7 medals.

China leads the table with 49 medals, which include 30 gold.

Japan is in the second spot with 39 medals, followed by Kazakhstan which has secured 12 medals including six gold.
